BBA Members receive a $10.00 discount.
Late registrants will accrue a $10.00 late fee.
REGISTRATION FEES
The entire balance is due at the time the application is submitted. Only payments made by check or money order will be accepted. Checks and/or money orders should be made payable to the Benson Business Association. Please refer to the fee table below for costs.
THE EVENT
Benson Days Street Festival will be held Saturday, July 28, 2012. The festival is a community event held every summer on Maple Street between 59th and 63rd streets. The primary purposes of the event is to promote the Benson community and businesses, and to raise money for the Benson Business Association (BBA). The BBA uses the money raised by Benson Days to fund other Benson community events throughout the year. The 2012 Benson Days Street Festival will offer fun activities for families during the day with an arts & crafts fair, an auto show, food vendors, street entertainers, a Kid Zone and much more. The afternoon entertainment will heat up with a beer garden, street dance and plenty of live music.
VENDOR BOOTH SPACE
• Regular vendor spaces are rented out in 10′ x 10′ squares (maximum) for a fee of $40.00 per space.
• BBA members receive a $10 discount per space.
• You must provide your own tents, tables, chairs, etc.
• You must provide your own change.
• Smoking, alcoholic beverages, illegal drugs and firearms are not allowed in your booth space. (Alcoholic
beverages are only allowed in the designated beer garden area.)
• Booths must appear clean and neat throughout the event. Please take the time to deposit your own trash in the
nearest container throughout the day.
• Booths must be constructed in a manner that is safe for you, your workers and the public.
• Menus and prices must be posted at your booth.
• The BSF has the final say on the location of your booth. The BSF will try not to place similar vendors near each
other, but guarantees will not be made.
VENDOR PARTICIPATION
• Registration for your booth space is due July 1, 2012 to the BBA. Any late registrants will accrue an additional
$10 late fee. No new vendors will be allowed to register after July 15, 2012 or no spaces remain.
• You are asked to have your booth(s) open on Saturday, July 28, 2012 from 9:30am until 6:00pm, unless prior
arrangements have been made and agreed upon with the BBA Event Committee.
SET UP & TEAR DOWN
• You may set up your booth between the hours of 6:00am and 9:00am on Saturday, July 28, 2011.
• Please clean your space(s) and remove all trash at the end of the event. BSF reserves the right, and will charge,
any vendor a cleaning fee of $50.00 should they leave their space(s) in a condition that requires additional
cleaning. Your organization/business agrees to pay this fee, as a condition of participating in the BSF event.
PARKING
You may park in available spaces on the public streets surrounding Maple Street. No vehicles other than auto show vehicles are allowed on the enclosed Maple Street during BSF. Sections of Maple Street will open up throughout the day for evening parking.
LIMITATION TO STATED ACTIVITIES
You must limit your activities at Benson Days to those you state on your application. You must also limit the conduct of those activities to your booth space(s). Sales or distribution of anything done by walking throughout the Benson Days grounds is not permitted.
CANCELLATIONS
You may cancel your application in writing at any time up until July 15, 2012 for a refund of all fees paid.
Cancellations made after this date will not be refunded.
FAILURE TO FOLLOW GUIDELINES/LAWS
The BBA reserves the right to remove you from the event grounds for failure to follow these guidelines, the instructions of the BENSON DAYS event committee or the laws and regulations of the City of Omaha, the State of Nebraska or any organizations under those governmental entities. This would occur without any refund or other compensation.
